Former students at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Orcadians Graham Rorie and Aidan Moodie, joined by Connor Sinclair and Craig Baxter, have been tipped as ‘ones to watch’ by Songlines magazine for their dynamic, engaging and honest performances.
Originally a duo, Graham and Aidan reached the semi-finals of the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award. and since expanding to a quartet, Gnoss have continued to delight at performances and festivals across the UK and Europe. They have enjoyed sellout shows at Celtic Connections amongst many others - both for their own performances, and as musical directors of the Orkney Folk Festival’s acclaimed Gathering project in 2019, filling Glasgow’s legendary Old Fruitmarket.
Gnoss released their hotly anticipated debut album, Drawn from Deep Water, to great acclaim in May 2019, and are spending their much quieter than planned 2020 working on its follow-up, due for release in spring 2021.
