TRADtv had the pleasure of filming the exciting new Scottish & Irish trad ensemble LAS, live in concert at St. Andrew’s in the Square in Glasgow, August 2015.
LAS (meaning ignite), is a newly formed female five piece exploring the cultural links between Scotland & Ireland through exciting dance/music collaborations & songs in Gàidhlig and Gaeilge. This was only their third live performance as a group and we are very happy to be able to share this special track, Casadh An Tsugan with you now.
LAS is made up of five singers, dancers and musicians all hailing from Ireland and Scotland, Joy Dunlop, Edel Ní Churraoin, Clíodhna Begley, Suzanne Houstan, Catherine Ni Shuilleabhain.
