RURA perform Drone Song in an Angel Building Session for TRADtv

We had wanted to film a session with RURA for a while but couldn’t fit five people into our snug Live Room, so we moved the studio to our director’s flat instead. Here RURA perform the Drone Song featuring Adam Holmes on vocals and guitar, David Foley on flute, Jack Smedley on fiddle, Steven Blake on whistle and Adam Brown on guitar.

Learn more about RURA on their website http://www.rura.co.uk and find them on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/ruramusic.

If you haven’t seen the videos already, check out Steven Blake’s beautiful arrangement of the Lament for Donald Doughal MacKay (a Big Music Society Session we filmed in Duke’s pub near our studio in Glasgow) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBTtJi9Skh4 and watch RURA perform The Lasher as part of our coverage of The Visit (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtJWM0SwHpE&list=PLRsUgTfaJ-ueNCPLfDvvZArGv6tlMbcis&index=7).
