Liana Sharifian is a world-famous player and teacher of the Iranian bagpipe, the Ney Anban. Since a young age, Liana’s father (acclaimed piper Mohsen Sharifian) has worked with her developing her incredible talent, as a result she has become the first documented woman player of the Ney Anban. TRADtv was lucky enough to capture some of Liana’s enchanting performance at Glasgow’s Piping Live! Festival and catch a wee chat with her about her music right after she came off stage.
