The band won the Grade 1 World Championship in 2010 and have remained regular contenders at the highest level ever since, combining a strong Irish musical identity with a reputation for precision, creativity and outstanding ensemble playing. They are led by Pipe Major Alen Tully, with Stephen Creighton heading a drum corps that has enjoyed exceptional success of its own.
Their 2026 season included victory at the All-Ireland Championships, where they won both the Medley and MSR events, before travelling to Glasgow for the Worlds. Across the four Grade 1 events at the 2026 World Pipe Band Championships, St Laurence O’Toole finished fifth overall and also claimed the Grade 1 World Drumming title.
