Taking their name from the Gaelic word for kinship, the five-piece draw heavily from the rich musical well of their West Lochaber and Skye roots - whilst ‘dàimh’ also points towards the electrifying musical interplay between band members, as well as the connection with audiences at their breath-taking live shows around the world. From pyrotechnic jigs and reels to achingly poignant ballads, they run the full expressive gamut of folk music at its best.
The group’s current line-up features founding members alongside younger musicians that have progressed through the thriving Fèisean movement and Gaelic medium education, continuing the band’s top-shelf 20-year-plus pedigree.
September 2020 sees the 20th anniversary of the group’s seminal album, Moidart to Mabou, with touring from Scotland to the USA and Canada now pushed back to 2021.
