In August 2018, the band released their second studio album Air Fàir an Là to great acclaim. The album features a variety of contributions from distinguished Scottish artists, and was produced by Niteworks and internationally revered electronic producer Alex Menzies (Alex Smoke).
Live highlights over the past two years included a sold-out headline show at Glasgow’s Barrowlands as part of Celtic Connections, as well as headline slots at Hebridean Celtic Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Skye Live festival and played internationally in Germany (Rudolstadt), Corsica, Borneo (Rainforest World Music Festival) and Belgium (Schotts Weekender). Niteworks, alongside Dan Jones – frequent collaborator of Massive Attack, were the first musical group to be commissioned to write the music for Edinburgh’s Hogmanay fireworks display broadcast over the city and live nationally on the BBC Hogmanay show.
Presently, Niteworks are recording their third studio album with launch planned for 2021. The band will support this through an extensive touring schedule.
