Piping Live! gets underway in spectacular style as the festival’s Big Band takes to the streets of Glasgow, marching through the city to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
Bringing together pipers and drummers for one huge massed-band performance, the Big Band has become a brilliant way to mark the beginning of a week celebrating piping in all its forms. With musicians, spectators and visitors gathering along the route, it’s a fitting introduction to the atmosphere that takes over Glasgow during Piping Live! and the build-up to the World Pipe Band Championships.
