Melbourne, Australia’s very own Hawthorne Pipe Band bring a stunning Medley performance to the Grade One Arena on the legendary Glasgow Green turf as part of Day One of the World Pipe Band Championships 2026. Led to the circle by Pipe Major Matt Fraser and Drum Sergeant Steven Shedden and wearing a custom-commissioned R. J. K. Semple tartan, The Hawthorne Pipe Band are one of the finest pipe bands we’ve ever seen Australia produce.
In August each year, tens of thousands of people travel from all corners of the world to Glasgow, Scotland for this esteemed event featuring the world’s top ranking bagpipe bands performing in competition.
