Inveraray & District Pipe Band perform their Grade 1 March, Strathspey & Reel at the 2026 World Pipe Band Championships on Glasgow Green.
Led by Pipe Major Stuart Liddell, Inveraray have established themselves as one of the leading bands of the modern Grade 1 era, with a reputation for exceptionally strong piping, refined ensemble playing and a consistently high competitive standard.
The band arrived at the 2026 Worlds in excellent form, having already been crowned Scottish Pipe Band Champions in the 2025 competition. Across the four Grade 1 events at Glasgow Green, Inveraray finished fourth overall — and claimed the overall MSR title, underlining the quality of their traditional competition repertoire. They also won the Medley drumming prize during the championship.
